Cameroon – Far North: Three killed in suicide attack in Kerawa

Two suicide bombers and one civilian were killed Friday morning in the Cameroonian town of Kerawa (Far North), during a suicide attack attributed to the Islamist sect Boko Haram, APA learned from a security source that calls Provisional report.

At the beginning of September 2015, a similar double attack killed some 30 people and injured 141 in

the same locality near Kolofata, both bordering with Nigeria and where the jihadist movement has been carrying out deadly assaults.

This series of terrorist acts, it is said, occurs when a real malaise is currently felt among the troops engaged in the fight against Boko Haram in the Far North. A mutiny occurred on June 3 when 32 soldiers blocked a national highway in the area to demand immediate relief and payment of bonuses.

These mutineers are behind bars, pending the opening of a trial in the military court. For his part, the Minister of Defense, Joseph Beti Assomo, has already promised “severe sanctions” against them.

At the same time, this member of the government asked the military leaders to monitor the morale and state of mind of the men under their command, to “intensify the appropriate educational talks in order to avoid disinformation, Intoxication and even manipulation and confusion “.
