The Romanian public prosecutor has charged an emergency doctor with the manslaughter of former Cameroon midfielder Patrick Ekeng who collapsed during a league match for Dinamo Bucharest in May and died of heart failure. The prosecutor said Elena Duta, who rode in the ambulance which took Ekeng to hospital, made no attempt to resuscitate him. An autopsy showed the player was suffering from multiple serious heart problems, but the Bucharest prosecutor said: “Even if among Patrick Ekeng’s causes of death were the cardiac problems he suffered from, by her unjustified inaction Elena Duta removed any chance of survival.

In Cameroon, the United States has paid compensation to the family of a 7-year-old boy who was fatally run over by U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power’s motorcade in April. A young kamikaze detonated his charge on 29th June 2016 close to a mosque in the town of  Djakana , located on the border with Nigeria in the Far-North region of Cameroon, we learned from military sources. The attack which resulted in eleven deaths was attributed to the Nigerian Islamist sect  Book Haram . According to our sources, the kamikaze took advantage of a gathering of Muslim’s under a tent, after the prayer marking the end of the Ramadan fasting day, to activate his explosive belt.
