Nigeria: Wife dead as Couple stab themselves over domestic misunderstanding

The detectives of the Niger State Police Command are working hard to unravel why a couple in Minna stabbed each other during a minor misunderstanding leading to the death of the woman.

Both the man and the woman stabbed each other and were found lying in a pool of their blood on the floor in their house.
The man, according to the police, is currently responding to treatment in an undisclosed hospital in Min­na, the Niger State capital.
In a statement by the Spokesman of the Niger State Police Command, Bala Elkana, a Deputy Superinten­dent of Police (DSP), police opera­tives of the command got a distress call from Bosso Estate and rushed there, unfortunately, however, they saw the couple laying in the blood of the blood.
According to the police, the wom­an was stabbed on her neck and breast while the man was stabbed on his stomach.
“Following a distress call from Bosso Estate, a team of Policemen on patrol rushed to the scene and met one Best Origboshe ‘m’ of Louis and Paris foundation International, Minna Niger State and Bolatito Oduoala ‘f’ a Post graduate student of FUT Minna lying on the floor in the pool of their blood. They were rushed to General Hospital, Minna.
“The woman was stabbed on her neck and breast while the man was stabbed on his stomach.
“On reaching the Hospital, the Doctor confirmed the woman dead while Best Origboshe is respond­ing to treatment at the hospital,” the statement noted.
The Police further explained that: “The victims engage themselves in a scuffle as a result of mere misunder­standing between them.
“Case under investigation by ho­micide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence De­partment.”
