Cameroon : Biya gives CFAF 73 millions to the victims of the Bamenda Food Market fire incident
The President of the Republic of Cameroon and wife Chantal has given an envelope of CFAF 73 millions as support to the traders of the Bamenda food market incident.
It should be noted that some traders in this market lost everything in the fire that reduced about 60 Shops to ashes àin this commercial space on the night of 13 to 14 March 2017. This money was distributed to the victims during a ceremony presided over this Friday May 5, 2017 by the governor of the Northwest region Adolphe Lélé Lafrique.
It is the with torn heart that some 13 traders of the "Food market" in Bamenda in the Northwest region returned to their homes this Friday, May 05, 2017. Having lost everything in the fire incident, these traders did not receive any financial aid. A situation in front of which a shopkeeper fainted, before returning to her mind some time later. No explanation was given to the injured traders.
An inquiry had been opened to elucidate the circumstances and the exact nature of this serious fire. But so far it has not yet delivered its results.
