Côte d'Ivoire : “Death of Papa Wemba, will A salfo be arrested?”
After the
9th edition of the Urban Music Festival of Anoumabo (Femua 9), the organizers
of this great cultural rendez - vous took stock of the event on Thursday, may
19, at the headquarters of the structure, in Cocody - Angré.
Guy-Michel
Ablé, director of communication of the Femua, who was assisted by his
collaborator, Gustave Adams, took advantage of this opportunity to make some
clarifications regarding the communication around the death of the king of
congolese rumba, Papa Wemba, and the convening of Traoré Salif ‘A ' Salfo’ by
the police ‘ commissioner general of the Femua’. The case of the congolese
star, he wanted to be more precise. "The death of the artist was an event
in which the organization of the Femua was not expecting. And in such
circumstances, the need to be cautious in the disclosure of certain
information. We had to take into account decisions from the government. There
were even some restrictions", said Guy - Michel Ablé.
Moreover, he revealed that after the death of Wemba, the
commissioner-general of the Femua was summoned to the police. A convocation at
which he responded to the commissioner's office of the 26th district of
Koumassi, without specifying the date. Same goes for the technician of the
microphone, at the concert of Papa Wemba. According to the communication
manager, the employee of Aréel Group, in charge of the logistics, was heard, as
a result of rumors about the ”poisoning” of the congolese artist.
By the way, on the state of mind of the "Magicians" after these moments of disorder, Guy-Michel Ablé revealed that A Salfo and its peers in the group Magic System have the " high moral ". "The state of mind of the Magic System is good. They have taken two weeks off in Paris, after the unfortunate events in Côte d'ivoire. They will be in Abidjan at the beginning of June", assured the director of communication. Talking about the next Femua, Traoré Salif says they intend to put the mouthfuls double for the 10th festival, to be regarded as a major success. "All the arrangements are made for the next festival," said Mr. Ablé.
It should be recalled that, the Femua 9 was marked by the death on stage of the congolaise star Papa Wemba. This death was followed a few days later, by that of Deigna Bonaventure Didier AKA Pépito, musical band chief of the Magic System.
